1. Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros (January 21)
Rebecca Yarros, the #1 New York Times best-selling author, has come back to continue her series The Empyrean. The new novel Onyx Storm will continue where the main character, Violet Sorrengail, left off in the previous book Iron Flame. Though the synopsis of the third book has been kept under wraps to conceal any spoilers, the story will follow Violet uncovering secrets found from her school and classmates, all while trying to become a famed dragon rider.
2. Deep End by Ali Hazelwood (February 4)
Ali Hazelwood, an author who started getting notoriety for her BookTok runaway hit The Love Hypothesis, has another surefire hit she’s releasing soon. The author, most known for writing romance novels, has done it again with an upcoming sports romance. The two main characters are competitive athletes, specializing in aquatica, who come together when a secret slips up between the two. Both bonded by this private affair, can their arrangement lead to an unexpected romance? Or will the two sink under pressure?
3. Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins (March 18)
Suzanne Collins has an upcoming release following her Hunger Games series. This time, the dystopian story follows original series side character Haymitch Abernathy and his experience competing in (and ultimately winning) the 50th Hunger Games. Follow along as Haymitch shows his side of the story, being ripped apart from the love of his life, his family, and his home in District 12.
4. Everything Is Tuberculosis by John Green (March 18)
John Green has returned with another book in his arsenal, but this time, with a non-fiction piece. Though known for his fiction work, Green isn’t unfamiliar within the world of non-fiction, with his first being The Anthropocene Reviewed. His title of his new book, Everything Is Tuberculosis, perfectly captures what the book is about. Green has spent the past 6 years learning and researching the disease tuberculosis after visiting Sierra Leone in 2019 and is ready to unleash his findings into this upcoming book. The book is widely inspired by Henry, a tuberculosis patient Green met while researching the disease.
5. Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry (April 22)
Few have captured the fine line between romance and literary fiction the way Emily Henry has, which is why it’s so exciting to share news of her latest release. Henry has returned with another contemporary romance, this time taking place between two writers competing for the chance to score a legendary biographical book deal with a fabled tabloid heiress. In classic Henry fashion, the two characters are sure to have an even mixture of tension and rivalry to keep readers on the edge of their seat, and pacing steady throughout.
