There’s no better way to get into the spirit of the season than playing your favorite holiday songs. Some of my favorite tunes were featured on older Disney and Nickelodeon shows such as "Shake It Up", "Good Luck Charlie", and "Big Time Rush". I’ve gathered some of my favorite throwback songs from our favorite celebrities so you can have the ultimate holiday playlist!
1. “Shake Santa Shake” (from "Shake It Up")
This pop song was performed on Disney Channel’s "Shake It Up" by the lovely Zendaya. Not only is the song catchy, but the music video is so festive with the dancers dressed up in their finest holiday dresses and Santa hats.
2. “It’s Not Christmas Without You” (from "Victorious")
The holidays are about spending time with family and friends. While you may not be able to see your loved ones in person this year, that doesn’t mean you aren’t thinking of them. “It’s Not Christmas Without You” from "Victorious" features Victoria Justice as the lead singer alongside Ariana Grande and Liz Gilles. Send this song to someone who makes the holidays special for you!
3. “I Love Christmas” (from "Austin and Ally")
This holiday song from "Austin and Ally" captures the joy of Christmas with its upbeat melody and themed lyrics. The song starts off slow with Laura Marano and Ross Lynch singing by the piano but quickly escalates into a fast-paced number that uplifts holiday spirits in seconds!
4. “All I Want For Christmas” (from "Big Time Rush" feat. Miranda Cosgrove)
Big Time Rush and Miranda Cosgrove covered the iconic “All I Want For Christmas”, and in the video, the members of BTR are seen sporting classic tuxedos and top hats while Cosgrove is wearing a vibrant red Santa-inspired dress. What do you want for Christmas?
5. “Song For You” (from "Good Luck Charlie")
This song takes a turn from the rest mentioned above with a slower melody. The vocals of Bridgit Mendler and Shane Harper, stars of Disney Channel’s "Good Luck Charlie", highlight the small moments that make the holidays so special such as mistletoe and firelight.
