In true Star Wars fashion, “The Mandalorian” doesn’t take itself too seriously. The episode is dotted with plenty of comic relief, and even the brooding, masked hero gets knocked on his butt a few times. It’s a series that seems wholly self-aware – that it’s fundamentally a story meant for kids and that it’s about adventures in a galaxy where the rules of physics as we know them don’t apply. A lot of people get REALLY intense about Star Wars, but at the end of the day, it’s a fun space romp and we shouldn’t forget that.
The first episode of “The Mandalorian” is now streaming on Disney+ and the second episode will be released this Friday! I have spoken!
