Teen Choice Awards co-host Victoria Justice has urged presenters and nominees to dress appropriately for Sunday's (31Jul16) prizegiving.
The actress/singer has revealed she'll be wearing a Versace mini-dress on the red carpet and then changing into as many as five costumes during the show, which she'll front with wrestler and movie star John Cena.
She's not as concerned about her own looks on the big night as she is about provocative stars who may want to use the ceremony to make an awkward, sexy statement - and she suggests her peers should dress for comfort and not focus too much on designer gear.
She tells WWD, "Dressing appropriately for the event is always key, and so is knowing your audience.
"The most important thing I'd encourage people to do is to not get too caught up in what designer they are wearing. Sometimes it's not about the biggest name you can wear, it's about what fits you best. Fit is really important. I've been lucky to be able to wear designers like Versace, but I've also worn H&M on a red carpet."
And Victoria admits she still likes the look she chose for her first Teen Choice Awards in 2010, when she was nominated for Choice Smile.
"I wore this turquoise BCBG dress and I blended in with the backdrop of the carpet," she recalls. "So, it helps to know the colour of the step-and-repeat (red carpet photocall) beforehand."
She's also urging the attendees to play it cool: "It's always really hot at the Teen Choice Awards, so you want to stay cool."
Among those up for this year's top honours are Jennifer Lawrence, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Gal Gadot, Shailene Woodley, and Star Wars stars John Boyega and Daisy Ridley.
