Victoria Beckham celebrates birthday with hiking and family dinner

Victoria Beckham marked her 40th birthday by gathering her family and friends for a special dinner in Malibu, California.

The former Spice Girls star reached the milestone on Thursday (17Apr14) and she spent her day hiking around Grand Canyon with her sports star husband and their kids.

She later returned to California for a special birthday dinner at luxury restaurant Nobu in Malibu.

Beckham documented the party by sharing a picture of a personalised menu inside a birthday card which was emblazoned with a photograph of the singer-turned-fashion designer as a child.

The inside of the card was decorated with a series of childhood snapshots, and Beckham wrote in a caption on Twitter.com, "Wonderful dinner at Nobu Malibu with my family and close friends, love u (sic) all so much & feel so blessed x good night x"
