Vanessa Hudgens has dismissed chatter suggesting she's set to wed, insisting fans read too much into a new photo she posted online.

The actress sent gossips and devotees into a spin when she shared a shot of her new hairstyle - but few failed to notice the diamond bling on her ring finger, prompting rumors she and her longtime boyfriend Austin Butler were engaged.

The 29-year-old former High School Musical star took to Twitter on Tuesday to shoot down the gossip.

"Guysssss. I’m not engaged!" she wrote. "I posted a pic. Not to show off my ring that I happened to throw on that finger after a long day of filming but to show off my haircut."
