Tyga caught up in FaceTime drama with 14-year-old model
Rapper Tyga has been accused of sending inappropriate messages to a 14-year-old model.
Molly O'Malia has called on the services of top women's rights lawyer Gloria Allred, who staged a press conference on Monday (04Jan16) to address a tabloid story linking her client to Kylie Jenner's 26-year-old boyfriend.
Sobbing throughout the meeting with the media, O'Malia claimed she
ended social media correspondence with Tyga when he suggested using
FaceTime to chat to the model.
Revealing he contacted her, the teenager told reporters, "He direct
messaged me on Instagram. I knew who he was but I was surprised
that he was contacting me.
"I thought that it could possibly be about my music, but he did not
mention that in his initial communication with me. I thought that
was strange, but I was thinking he would bring that up in his next
message to me. However, he didn't mention it in the next
message."
"I began to feel uncomfortable when he asked me to FaceTime with
him," she continued. "He asked me to FaceTime three times, but I
did not do it (and) because of my discomfort with why he wanted to
communicate with me, I quickly stopped responding to him."
Allred, who is currently representing a number of women accusing
comedian Bill Cosby of sexual misconduct, took the microphone at
the press conference and told the media her client's mother, Anne
Lowry O'Malia, felt it was "completely inappropriate for an adult
male to communicate with her 14-year-old daughter, ask for her
phone number and ask when she is coming to L.A."
Lowry O'Malia has also released a statement criticizing editors at
OK! magazine for falsely insinuating "there was an inappropriate
sexually suggestive relationship going on between Tyga and
Molly."
Tyga is still vacationing with his 18-year-old girlfriend Kylie in
ski resort Mammoth Lakes, California, and his representative has
refused to comment on O'Malia's claims.
