Taylor Swift has the builders in to renovate $25million home
Taylor Swift is engaging in an extravagant home improvement program at her $25 million mansion.
The star only bought the historic home in Beverly Hills, California six months ago, but is already upgrading the property to suit her needs. Taylor, who is dating DJ and producer Calvin Harris, has an extensive property portfolio worth a reputed $70 million according to Forbes.com, including homes in New York, Nashville and Rhode Island.
She reportedly bought the Douglas Honnold-designed mansion built
for legendary movie mogul Samuel Goldwyn last September (15) for a
reported $25 million in cash, $14 million below the property's
asking price of $39 million .
Aerial pictures obtained by website X17.com show the roof of the
mansion covered in blue tarpaulin and a number of builders' trucks
in the house's parking area.
The 11,000-square-foot main house comes with six bedrooms, five
bathrooms, a two-room guest apartment above the garage, sunken
tennis court, swimming pool, and a pool house with kitchenette
perfect for squad parties.
Providing building work is completed relatively quickly, the star
will have plenty of time to enjoy her renovated home, as she has
finished traveling the world on her epic 1989 tour.
From May to December last year (15) the star played dates in venues
as far afield as Melbourne, Australia and Tokyo, Japan as well as
arenas and stadiums across North America.
On Wednesday (06Apr16), the Blank Space singer released a song, New
Romantics, whose video served as a tribute to fans who had attended
gigs on the tour.
In an introduction to the video Taylor said, “The fans are the best
part of this tour. I don’t want to forget anything that happened on
this tour. It was one of those remarkable moments in time when
everything felt exciting.”
