Solange Knowles is to deliver a new performance art piece alongside one of her favorite sculpture installations.
The 31-year-old singer will perform the piece, titled Scales, in a field in Marfa, Texas beside artist Donald Judd's installation 15 Untitled Works in Concrete.
In a post on Instagram, Solange revealed she was thrilled to perform alongside the box shaped concrete structures as they had inspired her artistically.
She wrote, "Donald Judd's "15 untitled works in concrete" has had such profound influence on the way I view the world, and I am beyond honored to deliver a site specific version of my performance piece, "Scales" (2017) alongside these phenomenal installations during @chinatifoundation weekend. Texas peeps (people), pull up!"
Solange will perform on 8 October (17) as part of the Chinati Weekend, hosted by bosses at the Chinati Foundation, the Marfa art museum Donald founded to preserve his own large scale art installations and works by other artists.
Scales is the latest performance piece adapted from her 2016 album A Seat at the Table. In May (17), she took over New York City's Guggenheim museum to stage her work An Ode To, which brought several tracks from the record to life.
