Reality TV star Scott Disick was reportedly hospitalized after first responders feared for his safety following a visit to his home last month (Aug17).
Representatives from the Los Angeles County Fire Department have confirmed officials on the scene became concerned for Scott's welfare on 18 August (17).
"On August 18th LAFD responded to a call from the home of Scott Disick," a spokesperson revealed to Us Weekly magazine in a statement on Wednesday (06Sep17). "Lost Hills Sheriffs were also on the scene shortly there after. LAFD officials transported Mr. Disick to a local hospital."
LAFD officials have declined to provide further information on the incident, but, according to The Blast, Scott experienced a severe mental breakdown that prompted medics to place him on an involuntary psychiatric hold under California's 5150 statute, which allows physicians and peace officers to involuntarily confine a person who is considered a danger to themselves and others for up to 72 hours for further mental evaluation.
News of Scott's hospitalization arises amid rumors he has been suffering with several personal problems over the summer (17).
The 34-year-old, who has been to rehab numerous times in the past for alcohol and drug-related issues, is reportedly having a hard time coping with the fact his ex Kourtney Kardashian has moved on from their romance with French model Younes Bendjima, who she began dating in the spring (Mar17).
Reports suggest Scott is now committed to getting healthy again so he can be a better parent to the three young kids he shares with Kourtney.
"He was definitely spiraling for a while, but he got fed up with himself and was over his own stupid behavior,” a source tells People magazine.
