Rose McGowan files for divorce
Actress Rose Mcgowan's two-year marriage is over.
The Grindhouse star has filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for her split from visual artist David Leavitt.
In her legal papers, obtained by TMZ.com, the 42-year-old is asking
a judge to reject any claim for spousal support.
Rose opened up her photo album and shared quirky wedding and
honeymoon snapshots with fans online after she and Leavitt, aka
Davey Detail, exchanged vows in Los Angeles in October, 2013.
The then-newlyweds celebrated their nuptials with a honeymoon in
the Maldives.
She later revealed she and Leavitt had picked their spooky wedding
location in the hope they'd see a ghost.
The actress, who has dated Marilyn Manson and her Planet Terror
director Robert Rodriguez, said, "The place was haunted. There was
a silent movie star who drove herself off Mullholland (Drive),
which is a famous road in Los Angeles, and killed herself after she
found out her husband cheated on her, and it's said that she haunts
the place...
"How amazing would it be to see a ghost at your wedding? I would
have loved that. That would be everything."
But there was no ghost and now Rose's marriage appears to be
dead.
Ironically, Rose almost lost her home in a fire weeks after
becoming engaged to the artist in July, 2013.
The actress has since accepted the blame for the blaze, insisting
her lack of kitchen skills led to the drama.
Firefighters were called to her property after McGowan's pal
Courtenay Semel reported the fire.
