Olivia Munn wants to tighten skin after weight loss
Olivia Munn is researching natural ways to tighten her skin after losing weight while filming the new X-Men movie.
The Mortdecai star, who plays Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse, trained in martial arts and sword play for the new superhero film and subsequently lost 12 pounds (5.4 kilograms).
Although Olivia is happy with her new physique, she is experiencing
some side affects she would like to change.
"As I've tried to get healthier in my life, I've realised there are
adverse effects to losing weight," she tells PeopleStyle. "I'm not
very tall, so any weight that I had lost changed areas of my skin,
like my neck. I could see different parts of my skin didn't feel
as, like, tight anymore and I think it's just because it was excess
(skin) because of the lost of weight."
"I'm aware of it and, because I'm aware of it, I love to talk to
other women and figure out what other people are doing," she
continues. "If you just ask your girlfriends or different people
you work with, you end up finding a lot of really great ideas."
While the 35-year-old is considering many different options, she is
hoping to stay natural and avoid Botox or fillers.
"Not that there's anything wrong with it, but I believe that we, as
women, should embrace our age and have no problem saying it," she
adds. "Sure, parts of my skin don't feel as tight anymore. But we
can't control the day we were born."
She also insists it is most important to her to have healthy
skin.
"Makeup can really transform your look, but nothing replaces having
great skin," she says. "It's always been important to me to invest
in it. I've regretted buying shoes or purses, but I've never
regretted what I've spent on my skin. I had adult acne not that
long ago. It was worse than when I was 18! I started using
Proactiv, and I haven't dealt with it since."
