Mandy Moore wants spousal support from Ryan Adams
Singer/actress Mandy Moore has filed legal documents requesting interim spousal support from rocker Ryan Adams as they continue to hash out a divorce settlement.
The former couple announced they were divorcing in January (15), just weeks before their sixth wedding anniversary, and insisted the break-up was "a respectful, amicable parting of ways".
They are now embroiled in a row over spousal support, as Adams is
refusing to make regular payments, according to new documents filed
by Moore.
Moore is asking for a judge to order Adams to pay her $37,000 per
month in spousal support until they agree on a divorce settlement.
She claims he earns $151,000 a month, and she makes less than a
quarter of that salary.
The Walk to Remember star is also asking Adams to take four of
their eight pets, six cats and two dogs, as she is struggling to
look after them on her own, and she claims her estranged husband
initially promised to take at least two of the felines.
They have agreed to split the mortgage on their joint home,
according to TMZ.com.
