Lil Uzi Vert has pulled out of plans to join fellow rapper Playboi Carti on tour, just a day after announcing the shows.

The two rising stars have been teasing fans about a mixtape collaboration they dubbed 16.29 for a while, and on Wednesday (18Oct17), they shared details about the 16*29 Tour, which was set to begin in Denver, Colorado on 17 November (17).

However, less than 24 hours later, Uzi appeared to have had a change of heart.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday morning (19Oct17), the Money Longer hitmaker wrote, "Not going on tour wit carti need 2 focus (sic)". The tweet was accompanied by an emoji of a sad face, although he didn't elaborate on what he would be working on instead.

Carti has yet to respond to the news, which was posted as tickets for the 16*29 Tour went up for pre-sale online.

It's not yet clear if the concerts will go ahead without Uzi's involvement.
