Rapper Kid Cudi has been forced to delay the release of his new album due to issues with sample clearance.
The hip-hop star had been preparing to launch Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' on Friday (30Sep16), but he took to Twitter late on Thursday (29Sep16) to reveal the project has been held up.
"Due to some minor sample clearances being finalized, we miss our deadline for tonight (sic)," he explained.
To make it up to fans, Cudi promised to make two new tracks available online as his label representatives continue to work on resolving the album problems.
He added, "HOWEVER, you will be able to purchase 'FREQUENCY' and 'SURFIN' within the next 48hrs (hours) for your groovy pleasure to hold you over."
Cudi announced plans for the release of Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' on Monday (26Sep16), when he shared the tracklisting for the album, which features appearances from OutKast's Andre 3000, Pharrell Williams, Travis Scott, and Willow Smith.
