Kevin Hart posts funny bogus photo of home invader
Kevin Hart is making light of a serious situation by posting a fake photo of the person who burgled his home earlier this month (Jun16).
Robbers broke into the Ride Along star's Tarzana, California property and reportedly got away with $500,000 (GBP353,000) worth of jewelry, watches and clothes.
Hart, who was in Miami, Florida at the time of the incident,
arrived to find his home in disarray and reported the theft.
And as detectives have already begun scouring through surveillance
video for clues about the identities of the suspects involved in
the robbery, the comedian jokingly turned to his 37 million
Instagram followers in hopes they could provide some extra
insight.
On Wednesday (22Jun16), Hart posted a close-up shot of a man
wearing a ski mask, showing only his eyebrows and mischievous eyes.
However, the picture was actually cropped from a stock photo of the
image that was used in a TMZ article published Monday (20Jun16)
about his burglary, and not a real shot of the purported
robbers.
Hart wrote the caption, "Here is a picture from the security
cameras of the (clown) that's been robbing houses... Real smart
move wearing the cool ski mask that shows ur eyebrows & the bags
under ur eyes."
"We are on yo (butt) man," he added. "I'm about to show u the power
of social media....One of my followers might recognize u and might
not like you which would mean that they could careless about giving
u up....Lets play a game of tell on the robber real quick...who
knows I might get lucky!!!!!"
In the TMZ article, law enforcement sources told the site the
burglary at Hart's home could be linked to the other recent
celebrity robberies throughout Hollywood.
In recent weeks, the homes of Chris Brown, Scott Disick and Blac
Chyna have all been broken into, with burglars zeroing in on
jewelry.
The incidents echo the infamous Bling Ring gang, who stole
clothing, jewelry and money from stars' homes while they were at
parties and events in 2008 and 2009.
