Pop star Kesha is set to make her New York acting debut as part of The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway challenge.
The Tik Tok singer is among the stars who have signed up for the annual benefit, which raises money for the Urban Arts Partnership, New York's largest arts education organization.
Kesha, who recently appeared on Jane the Virgin, joins actors such as Jason Biggs, Wilmer Valderrama, Jesse Eisenberg, Edie Falco, John Krasinski, Molly Ringwald, Olivia Wilde and Billy Crudup among many others for the fast-paced challenge.
They will work with six writers, such as Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire and comedian David Cross, and six directors, including Kathy Najimy, to create and perform a series of original short plays created from scratch in just one day.
The finished productions will be staged in front of a live audience at the American Airlines Theater on 16 November (15).
