Katy Perry has denied claims she addresses her feud with Taylor Swift on new album Brave, insisting the record doesn't "call out any one person".
The Chained to the Rhythm star and Shake It Off singer have long been at the center of feuding rumors, with many fans assuming that Taylor's track Bad Blood was written about Katy.
It was also reported recently that Katy may touch upon the breakdown of her relationship with Taylor on her new record, but the 32-year-old singer hit back at those rumors during an interview with Entertainment Weekly magazine.
"I think (my new album is) a very empowered record. There is no one thing that’s calling out any one person," she told the magazine, adding when asked if she considers Bad Blood to be about her, "That's not my question to answer".
As the I Kissed A Girl singer continued the interview, she refused to mention any names as she addressed how she responds to being slighted. But Katy made sure people knew not to get on the wrong side of her.
"One thing to note is: You can’t mistake kindness for weakness and don’t come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. And that’s not to any one person and don’t quote me that it is, because it’s not. It’s not about that," she continued. "Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period, end of story.
"But, let me say this: Everything has a reaction or a consequence so don’t forget about that. OK, honey. We got to keep it real, honey. This record is not about anyone else! This record is about me being seen and heard so that I can see and hear everyone else! It’s not even about me! It’s about everything that I see out there that I digest."
When it comes to the main message of the album, Katy added she hopes people respond to the "vulnerability" in the new music.
"I think there’s a healing in it for me and vulnerability," she added. "If people want to connect and be healed and feel vulnerable and feel empowered and strong, God bless and here it is."
