Kanye West's doctors have reportedly delayed the rapper's planned release from a Los Angeles medical center to continue his treatment in hospital.
The Stronger hitmaker was admitted to the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center (UCLA) for a mental evaluation on 21 November (16) after his allegedly erratic behavior led to fears for his health.
Kanye has since been receiving treatment for exhaustion and sleep deprivation, and remained under doctors' care over the Thanksgiving holiday (24Nov16), with his wife Kim Kardashian by his side.
According to TMZ.com, the hip-hop star had been expected to be discharged on Monday (28Nov16), with his personal physician overseeing his continued recovery at home, but sources reveal the plan has now been put on hold as Kanye is "still not stable".
A new release date has yet to be set.
The news emerges shortly after it was reported Kim has been sleeping in her husband's hospital room and helping to nurse him back to health.
"Kim has been amazing," an insider told Us Weekly magazine. "She knew he couldn't keep going the way he was. She has been by his side through all of this, helping to feed him and laying by his side."
Kim has only briefly left UCLA Medical Center to visit the couple's children, daughter North, three, and 11-month-old son Saint.
"Kim wouldn't leave his side except to see the kids," the source added. "She's been at the hospital all the time. Kim has been keeping a very close watch on him and not letting people disturb him. All kinds of people have called and sent flowers, but she's being very careful about not letting him get wound up and making sure he rests and recovers."
