Julianne Hough has postponed her wedding to Brooks Laich.
The 27-year-old actress and dancer got engaged to ice hockey player Brooks in August 2015, and the pair had initially planned to tie the knot this summer (16). However, work commitments on both sides have meant the couple has had little time to work on arrangements for their nuptials, so they've made the decision to put the wedding off to a date that has yet to be determined.
Seemingly entirely unconcerned about the delay to her big day, Julianne joked with Entertainment Tonight: "We might get married in 10 years. Who knows?"
With recent roles in the movie Dirty Grandpa and TV special Grease: Live, Julianne has had little time to relax. Brooks has been busy with his career too, so they are going to take full advantage of just being able to "hang out" with each other this summer.
"We finally get to actually be in the same city, so that's nice," she said. "So we're just chilling at the house, cooking dinner, hanging out by the pool and relaxing."
The couple first went public with their relationship in February, 2014 and Brooks, 32, decided to pop the question when Julianne least expected it.
"We were at home, romantic and relaxed, which is perfectly very 'us',” Julianne wrote on her blog soon after the proposal. “We stood on the deck, watching the sun set over the lake and listening to our favorite songs. Not even for a second did I expect that beautiful, serene scene was about to become one of the most meaningful moments of our lives.
“In fact, I was so taken aback when Brooks got down on one knee I completely blacked out! It was like a rush of heat and a wave of uncontrollable emotion swept right through my body.”
