Jonah Hill lived rent-free in Brad Pitt's New Orleans home
Jonah Hill lived rent-free while shooting the big screen adaptation of 21 Jump Street in New Orleans, Louisiana - Brad Pitt offered up his home to the funnyman after starring together in Moneyball.
Hill began filming the upcoming movie adaptation of the hit 1980s TV show shortly after completing baseball film Moneyball with Pitt, and the Hollywood superstar didn't hesitate to hand over the keys to his empty New Orleans pad to his new pal.
The Superbad actor tells comedian Jon Stewart, "Brad is the coolest
guy. It sucks because he's so handsome... You don't wanna like him
so much!
"I was shooting (21 Jump Street) in New Orleans, and he let me live
in his house. He said, 'Go live there!' I said, 'I'm there for
three-and-a-half, four months', and he said, 'That's cool. Live at
my house.' Like, he's the nicest guy."
But Hill admits he felt bad for tourists visiting New Orleans as
they would get excited to catch a glimpse of Pitt every time his
car pulled up to the property.
He says, "Every day I'd get picked up in a black SUV (Sports
Utility Vehicle) and dropped off. But people in New Orleans know
it's Brad Pitt's house. It's literally on the (bus) tour.
"So, I would go home every day from work and there'd be a tour
outside and they'd be freaking out, and then I'd get out of the
car, and you could hear a collective audible sigh of annoyance when
it wasn't Brad Pitt!"
Hill stars alongside Channing Tatum in the movie version of 21 Jump
Street, the show which kick-started Johnny Depp's career. It is due
for release in 2012.
