Jesy Nelson insists she's not going on a break from Little Mix after saying in a recent interview she's become a "recluse".
The 24-year-old recently told Now magazine that she "loves the peace and quiet" and feels like she's "turning into an old woman", sparking speculation she could be heading for a break from the band.
However, Jesy and her bandmates Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards are adamant that a hiatus isn't on the cards, adding that her quotes were blown out of proportion.
When asked by WENN if she would be taking a break, all the girls gave a resounding "No!" before Perrie jokingly adds, "I’d like to see her try".
"I feel like that got blown out of context," Jesy explains to WENN at the Capital FM Summertime Ball with Vodafone on Saturday (11Jun16). "I was just saying I like going for country walks and we don’t really get to see our partners much so when I get time off, instead of going clubbing, I like going down a country lane…"
Leigh-Anne adds, "Which doesn’t make her a recluse at all."
Jesy has been engaged to Rixton singer Jake Roche since July (15) but they don't intend to get married for a few more years.
During her interview with Now magazine, Jesy had said, “I love the girls to pieces but because I’m the older one in the group I just feel like I’m turning into an old woman. I love peace and quiet.
“We just had a break and all I wanted was to go somewhere no one would find me, so me and Jake (Roche) found a random little place and got a boat and did lots of hiking and stuff.”
Jesy has also been suffering during their Get Weird tour - she tore a ligament in her ankle with performing in Malaysia in May (16), received a wrist injury in March (16) and came down with a mystery illness that same month, forcing the band to postpone two shows in Northern Ireland.
