Jake Gyllenhaal is returning to Broadway to join the line-up for a special theatre reading to mark the centennial of playwright Arthur Miller's birth.
The Nightcrawler actor, who made his debut on the Great White Way in the play Constellations earlier this year (15), will appear onstage alongside the likes of his brother-in-law Peter Sarsgaard, Alec Baldwin, Ellen Barkin, Laurence Fishburne, Greta Gerwig, and John Turturro for One Night 100 Years on 25 January (16).
The event, which will raise funds for the Arthur Miller Foundation for Theater and Film Education, will feature the stars reading scenes from Miller's plays Death Of A Salesman, The Price, and All My Sons, in addition to the late writer's autobiography, Timebends, and a number of unpublished works, reports the New York Post.
Gregory Mosher will direct the production at the Lyceum Theatre, which currently serves as the home for a revival of Miller's A View From The Bridge, starring Mark Strong.
"I am so grateful and happy to have these wonderful actors and playwrights join the cast for the evening," says Miller's daughter Rebecca. "I can think of no better way to honour my father's legacy than to support theatre arts for coming generations."
Arthur Miller died in 2005.
