Ja Rule filming family reality show

Rapper Ja Rule is set to become the latest hip-hop star to enter the world of reality TV with his own show.

The Always On Time hitmaker, real name Jeffrey Atkins, reveals Follow the Rules will give fans an insight into his everyday life, juggling his career commitments with his duties as a family man following his release from prison for gun possession and tax evasion last year (13).

He tells the New York Post, "It'll be a chance for people to see me as a father and a husband. I want people to know this aspect of my life too."

Further details about the show have yet to be announced, but it is expected to premiere on TV next year (15).

Ja Rule will follow in the footsteps of fellow rappers like T.I., DMX, Ice-T, and Run-D.M.C.'s Reverend Run, who has launched multiple programs, including Run's House.
