Gwyneth Paltrow backtracks on negative Met Ball remarks
Gwyneth Paltrow has heaped praise on the Costume Institute Gala in New York just days after slamming the event in several interviews.
The Shakespeare In Love star was left unimpressed by fashion's biggest night, also known as the Met Ball, branding this month's (May13) gala "too crowded" and "un-fun".
The Oscar-winner also blasted the glamorous event's punk theme
during a radio interview, insisting that many of the A-listers
present were "a bit old to be trying to dress punk" - but she's now
backtracked on her comments.
In a post on her lifestyle blog Goop.com, Gwyneth Paltrow praised
the event's "incredible fashion" and hailed the bash as the
highlight of the style calendar, writing, "The Met Ball, at NYC’s
Metropolitan Museum of Art, is always the year’s most elaborate
display of incredible fashion and this year was no different."
