Frankie Muniz embarks on road trip to escape Hurricane Sandy

Written by . Published: October 29 2012

Frankie Muniz faced a mammoth car journey to Cleveland, Ohio following his band Kingsfoil's show in Pennsylvania on Sunday night (28Oct12) after flights on the East Coast were cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy.

The former Malcolm In The Middle star, who play drums with the group, was preparing to jet out of Philadelphia after the band's gig when he discovered all flights had been axed as the storm moved in.

Rather than remain in Pennsylvania, Muniz's pals drove him six hours west to an airport in Cleveland so he could fly home as planned.

In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, the 26 year old writes, "Running from Hurricane Sandy... All flights on east cancelled. But my best frens (friends) are driving me to Cleveland! Friends that drive you 6 hours one way just so you can fly home are good ones!!! One month off, then back at it with kingsfoil!"

Hurricane Sandy is due to hit the East Coast on Monday (29Oct12).
