FERGIE misses her Black Eyed Peas bandmates and hope that she will reunite with them one day.
The singer joined the band, which formed in 1995, for their 2003 album Elephunk and hit single Where is the Love? and remained part of the group until they went on hiatus in 2011.
Her bandmates will.i.am, Taboo and apl.de.ap reunited last year (15) for the track Yesterday, to mark their 20th anniversary, and they also recently performed onstage together at will.i.am's concert in London.
will.i.am has remained vague when asked if they will ever return as a four-piece, but now Fergie has clarified that although she is busy working on her solo material, she hopes that a reunion will happen one day.
"I miss those guys," she tells London's Evening Standard. "I’ve been working so hard on this (my solo career) right now. They’re my brothers for life. We don’t have anything in the works right now, but I love them to death.”
Fergie took a few years off to focus on raising her son Axl, who was born in 2013, and made her comeback with solo single M.I.L.F. $ last week (ends03Jul16).
She admits being a working mom is "a balancing act" that leaves her wiped out by the end of the day.
"You have to constantly make sure that everything’s getting nurtured - your relationship, your child, your professional life," she says. "And then taking care of yourself as well. Also your extended family and how that all fits in... At the end of the day I’m so exhausted - I just lay in bed with my son, read him a book and almost fall asleep right there.”
Fergie, who is married to actor Josh Duhamel, recruited celebrity moms including Kim Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen and Alessandro Ambrosio for the music video to M.I.L.F. $, and while the sexy promo has been deemed controversial by some, Fergie insists she was just poking fun at herself.
