Dwayne Johnson has publicly saluted a female journalist for following his intense workout routine.
Lauren Mazzo, who writes for magazines Fitness and Shape, documented her copycat exercise regime in an article titled I Worked Out Like Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson for 3 Weeks.
As well as following the exact workout plan Dwayne undertook for his latest movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Lauren also recreated some of the actor's gym photos - and the star was left impressed by the writer's dedication.
Taking to Twitter to repost Lauren's article, the muscleman praised: "Absolutely love this Much respect to Lauren Mazzo who tried my #Jumanji training plan (sic). Her results were fantastic. Ladies ask me all the time if they can do my workouts - there's a bit of a reluctance But once they try it & see results. It becomes their DNA. Try it.
"Love the pics she posted in this story as well. Pretty bad a*s. Women in the weight room. Great job Lauren. #Jumanji #TrainingProgram."
In her piece, Lauren detailed how she found Dwayne's Jumanji workout plan on Under Armour's Record website and wanted to see "what happens when a lady lifts like the most muscular dude in Hollywood?"
Former wrestler Dwayne works on a different muscle group every day, starting with back, then chest, legs, shoulders, and arms, followed by two rest days. He also recommends 15 minutes of cardio five times per week as well as training abs and calves two or three times a week at the beginning of a workout.
Concluding her article, Lauren explained that she basically felt like Dwayne by the end of the three weeks.
"I felt 100 per cent as bada**, strong, and altogether unstoppable as I imagine The Rock must feel. His no-excuses approach to life and lifting definitely rubbed off on me - and my muscles," she wrote.
