DMX's representative denies DUI charge

A representative for rapper Dmx has denied a DUI charge following an arrest on Friday morning (26Jul13) in South Carolina.

The star, real name Earl Simmons, was booked in to the Greenville County Detention Center, where he was reportedly charged with driving without a license, as well as DUI, however, his spokesperson insists he is innocent.

The representative tells MTV News, "Allegations about DMX being arrested for drunk driving are false. He was arrested early this morning but quickly released. X was given a breathalyzer test and easily passed it...

"He is back at his home in South Carolina and we are continuing our focus on his upcoming album and acting roles."

The 42 year old has faced numerous legal problems over the last few years and was arrested by traffic cops in South Carolina in February (13) for driving without a license. He was released after paying a fine.
