Corinne Bailey Rae and her musician husband Steve Brown have very different ideas when it comes to music, but they manage to make it work in the studio.
The singer admits that although they have different ideas the couple, who married in 2013, always manage to come to an agreement.
And it's a strategy that has worked for some time as together they've produced three albums, including recent release The Heart Speaks in Whispers which was inspired by the singer's newfound happiness.
Corinne, 37, told British newspaper Metro in an interview: "We have different ideas and challenge each other, we communicate really well. We've worked together and known each other along time before we were in a relationship."
Steve is the Put Your Records On singer's second husband. The singer was devastated when she lost her first husband, Jason Rae, in 2008, after he was found dead of a suspected drugs overdose, aged 31.
The singer is in great demand at the moment with a supporting slot on Lionel Richie's UK tour, and will also support Stevie Wonder at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time in London's Hyde Park on 10 July (16).
