Common joins Suicide Squad cast

Rapper/actor Common has joined the star-studded cast of the much-anticipated comic book action movie Suicide Squad.

The Oscar winner closed a deal to join the super-villain ensemble movie, which will also feature Will Smith, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Margot Robbie, Scott Eastwood, Joel Kinnaman and Cara Delevingne.

It has yet to be revealed what role Common will play in the film.

Production is already underway in Toronto, and is slated to hit cinemas next August (16).
