Azealia Banks still planning to press charges against Russell Crowe

Azealia Banks is "moving forward" with her plans to press charges against actor Russell Crowe following a hotel room fight after insisting she didn't want to.

The hip-hop star has accused the actor of spitting on her, calling her the N-word and grabbing her by the neck before kicking her out of a party at his Los Angeles hotel suite on Saturday (15Oct16).

She told Us Weekly she just wanted an apology from the Gladiator star and didn't want to press charges, but now it's clear she isn't backing down, even though rap pal RZA, who was also a guest at Crowe's party, has made it clear she was in the wrong and acted badly, forcing the actor to escort her out of his suite.

In a Facebook post, she writes: "I told him he was old and fat, the entire room gasped and THAT was when I became a target.

"Regardless, you need to have the respect and decency to have someone properly escorted out," she added. "Grabbing them by the neck, calling them n**ger and tossing them out is not the look. NOR Is spitting an acceptable form of self-defense. I will be moving forward with Pressing charges.

"I stated numerous times that all I wanted was a moment to chat this over with Russell and come to a mutual understanding of what happened that night, but his team immediately rushed to TMZ, thinking they were beating me to something."

RZA, who invited Banks to the party, shared his version of what happened on Facebook earlier this week (ends21Oct16), stating, "I have a wife, daughters, sisters and females on my staff so I protect women everyday. I pray none of them ever behave the way I witnessed Azealia Banks behaved (sic) that night."
