A new Hollywood feud is brewing between James Woods and Armie Hammer after The Lone Ranger star poked fun at the veteran's criticism of his new gay romance film.
Woods, 70, took aim at Call Me By Your Name, which revolves around the relationship between a 24-year-old academic and his professor's 17-year-old son, by posting a tweet from author Chad Felix Greene online on Sunday (10Sep17).
The outspoken Once Upon a Time in America star teased Greene's comments by writing, "As they quietly chip away the last barriers of decency."
He also linked to the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), an organization which believes pedophilia without coercion should be decriminalized.
Hammer spotted the tweet and decided to respond by noting Woods previously dated 19-year-old Ashley Madison, writing: "Didn't you date a 19 year old when you were 60...?"
Woods and Madison's romance ended after six years in 2013.
