Actress Angie Harmon and her husband Jason Sehorn have split after 13 years of marriage.
The Rizzoli & Isles star and the former American footballer are amicably separating, according to her spokesperson.
Harmon's representative tells People magazine, "For the sake of their children, they ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this time in their lives."
Sehorn famously popped the question to Harmon as she sat down for an interview with chat show host Jay Leno's late night program in 2000, and they were married a year later (01).
They went on to have three daughters, but have spent the past few years carrying on a long-distance relationship, as Harmon spends most of the year filming Rizzoli & Isles in Los Angeles, while Sehorn is rooted in the family's home base of Charlotte, North Carolina on the other side of the U.S.
In July (14), Harmon obtained a permanent protective order against an overzealous fan who has been accused of harassing her family, but the order only protects the actress, her three children, a nanny and a family friend who is staying at the house. Sehorn was not included in it, according to TMZ.com.
