R. KELLY'S SUPRISE ALBUM SHOWCASE IN NIGHTCLUB

R&B star R. Kelly gave New York nightclub goers a treat last week (07Dec10), when he performed an impromptu set of songs from his upcoming album, Love Letter.

The crooner appeared at Manhattan club Greenhouse early last week, and sent the crowd into an uproar when he took the mic, belting out his 2002 hit Ignition.

But it was a set from his new album, which isn't set for release until Tuesday (14Dec10), that sent fans into a frenzy.

A source tells the New York Post, "The crowd was really responsive."
