Best Comedy Movie: Murder Mystery
Resembling the game Clue and a mystery dinner party, Murder Mystery is as funny as it is suspenseful. Nick Spitz (Adam Sandler) is a middle-aged guy seemingly living the good life as a NYC detective, but the only real connection Spitz has to being a detective is his stealth because he’s a complete phony. After Nick’s wife Audrey (Jennifer Aniston) begs him to go on a decade-plus belated honeymoon to Europe, he eventually gives in.
The couple ends up meeting a handsome, wealthy fellow by the name of Charles Cavendish (Luke Evans) on the flight across the Pond, and they hit it off so well that Cavendish invites the couple on a yacht party for his uncle, which happens to contain a guest list of rich and high-status attendees.
Things take a huge turn for the worse when, in true murder mystery fashion, Cavendish’s uncle is killed with the simple on-and-off switch of the lights. Anyone is deemed a suspect, and it just so happens Nick and Audrey top that list. Now, Nick must actually put on his detective cap to save him and his wife from overseas troubles!
