The second-half of Season 4 of "The Bold Type" is currently airing on Freeform, and we are loving every moment of it. 1. "Younger"
There has already been 6 seasons of this incredible show starring Hillary Duff. The plot follows Liza Miller (Sutton Foster), a 40-something single mom who pretends to be a 26-year old when she can’t get a job in publishing because of her age. 2. "Good Trouble"
If you ever watched "The Fosters", this is the spin-off from the show starring two of the daughters, Callie and Mariana Foster, who move to Los Angeles to start their lives and careers. What unfolds is a show that is timely, exciting, and incredibly modern. The series talks about themes such as racism, sexuality, family matters, and friendship. Watch on Hulu.
3. "Dollface"
This funny show was released on Hulu a year ago and stars Kat Dennings, Shay Mitchell, and Brenda Song. The first episode shows Jules (Dennings) being dumped by her long-time boyfriend, which leads her to the realization that she doesn’t have a life outside of him. So, she shows up on her old college roommate's (Song) doorstep and begs her to take her back. A great series about female friendship. Watch on Hulu.
4. "Grown-ish"
A spin-off from the hit TV series “Black-ish”, "Grown-ish" follows eldest daughter Zoey Johnson (Yara Shahidi) as she goes off to college and must deal with all the typical college events that happen, such as drugs, parties, roommates, sex, and relationships. Watch on Freeform.
5. "Katy Keene"
Another spin-off, this time from the series "Riverdale", this show follows Katy Keene (Lucy Hale) who has recently moved to New York City to pursue her dreams in fashion. Ashleigh Murray also stars as Josie McCoy. We get to watch a group of struggling artists find their way in the city that never sleeps. Watch on The CW.
6. "Ugly Betty"
One of the original New York City fashion dramas, "Ugly Betty" stars America Ferrera as Betty, a smart and hard-working girl who struggles to make it in the world of fashion because she doesn’t meet the traditional standards of beauty. Watch on Hulu.
7. "Gilmore Girls"
If you love witty banter, female friendship, and of course enticing romances, this show is for you. "Gilmore Girls" is the story of a mother-daughter duo as they navigate life together in the small town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. Watch on Netflix.
8. "Jane the Virgin"
A modern telenovela that follows the life of a young Catholic woman who discovers she was accidentally artificallly inseminated. A funny, heart-warming show that stars Gina Rodriguez. Watch on Netflix.
9. "Gossip Girl"
With the new "Gossip Girl" series approaching, there’s no better time to catch up on the original. The series centered on privileged teens living in New York City who attend an elite Upper East Side school, with the social media site “Gossip Girl” following their every move. Watch on Netflix.
10. "Sex and the City"
We couldn’t make this list without of course including "Sex and the City". It’s the OG series about New York City, female friendship, and love. Watch on HBO.
