Mac DeMarco – “Heart To Heart”

Mac DeMarco also made his return this weekend with the release of his album, Here Comes the Cowboy. I’ve been a fan of Mac’s for a long time and I always found his more meaningful songs to be my favorite, so that’s why I picked “Heart to Heart” to recap (although you should listen to the full album if you can). The death of Mac Miller in September last year hit many friends and fellow artists hard, including Mac DeMarco. The two had only been friends for a short amount of time before his death, and this is such a raw song because it shows his true emotions through a time of sudden grief. The song is slow, but I think those are some of Mac’s best creations. If you have time this week, I definitely suggest listening to this album and specifically this track.
