The Portuguese actress has been chosen to play Ratcatcher in James Gunn’s Suicide Squad. In the comics, Ratcatcher was initially portrayed as a man who was one of Batman’s many enemies. Sources say the role will have some connection to Elba's unidentified character. The part would mark Melchior’s first significant studio role, as she has mainly worked in Portuguese film and television. Ratcatcher has the unusual ability to control an army of rats, similar to that of the MCU’s Ant-Man.
