1. Ride Along (2014)

Hart stars as loudmouth Ben Barber, a security guard aspiring to join the police force. To prove he is worthy of being with his girlfriend Angela (Tika Sumpter), clueless Barber decides to go on a ride-along with Angela’s hard-nosed brother James Payton (Ice Cube). The new but unlikely duo aims to catch smuggling leader Omar (Laurence Fishburne). James is a no-nonsense detective, and Barber doesn’t know what’s he gotten himself into until he sees the reality of working investigative operations. Kevin Hart gives a hilarious performance as his confident yet inexperienced character tries to prove his worth to James, Angela, and the world.
