Scooby-Doo and the gang are back to solve another mystery!
The latest film rendition of the renowned cartoon series will be animated and in superior quality. You may be wondering where good ol' Scoob has been lately, and so have I!
The franchise has come a long way, with its numerous films, 2 live-action editions, and various sitcoms such as “Scooby-Doo: Where Are You!”, “What’s New, Scooby-Doo?”, and “A Pup Named Scooby-Doo”. Another sitcom edition of the series was released on Cartoon Network and the streaming service Boomerang in June of this year, called “Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?”
Just a small disclosure -- the first Scooby-Doo series premiered in 1969, in case you didn’t know. This popular franchise has technically been ongoing for 50 years, that’s more than any show I know!
Out of the many Scooby-Doo films, SCOOB! will only be the third to play on the big screen, following the 2 live-action films that premiered in the early 2000s.
Jinkies! This trailer provides the backbone for how Scooby, Shaggy, and the rest of the gang decided to band together and become a mystery-solving superteam! I can faintly remember other Scooby-Doo episodes or series possibly focusing on the same topic, but this film looks promising in dishing out the entire story!
As with any other Scooby-Doo episode or film, you may be wondering who is the culprit or crook the gang is trying to chase down. Well, zoinks! This time, it looks like the ghost is a real ghost!
This movie will be entertaining to watch as Fred (Zac Efron), Daphne (Amanda Seyfried), Velma (Jane Rodriguez), Shaggy (Will Forte), and Scooby (Frank Welker) show us how they got into the villain-catching business together!
The film has a well-known main cast, and also features a prominent supporting cast too, which includes Ken Jeong, Tracy Morgan, Kiersey Clemons, and Mark Wahlberg.
We will once again get the chance to see Scooby-Dooby-Doo very soon!
SCOOB! runs into theaters May 15, 2020.
