We were shocked last year when iconic "American Horror Story" creator and producer, Ryan Murphy, announced that he was leaving his longtime home studio at 20th Century Fox to hop on the Netflix bandwagon. We truly never thought the day would come! He had even joked in the past that he planned to be buried on the Fox lot. But, alas, Murphy was offered the deal of a lifetime, one that he simply couldn’t turn down. Not only was he offered as much as $300 million to exclusively produce for Netflix, but he was also offered creative freedom to produce the material he so desperately wanted. So, Murphy signed Netflix’s contract to exclusively produce for their streaming service for the next 5 years.
As he shared this year at the Time 100 Summit in New York, Netflix didn’t give him the richest producing deal in television history for nothing. He announced that he is currently in the works on 10 greenlit Netflix projects, including 3 movies, 4 TV shows, and 3 documentaries. While most of the details concerning the upcoming projects have been kept under wraps, Murphy has shared some buzz.
Here is everything we know about Ryan Murphy’s Netflix slate (& then some)!
