We get a brief glimpse of our trusty protocol droid, C3PO, minus the red arm but now with red eyes?! There is a lot of speculation that Palpatine is not going to be an actual physical presence but rather more of a spirit form, hopping from host to host in order to find the perfect specimen to be “reborn” into. Could Threepio be (temporarily) one of his unfortunate vessels??
