Spoilers ahead, because there’s really no way to talk about this without spoilers. After Season 2 brought OA and all her friends into a new dimension, the end of Season 2 took an even bigger leap, as OA, Hap, Steve, and presumably all the others, jumped into another dimension once again, but this time, reality snapped. In this version, OA finds herself on the set of a show a lot like “The OA” itself, as an actor named Brit Marling (you know, her real name), married to Jason Isaacs, the actor who plays Hap. So, essentially they were both playing a weird, layered, twisted versions of themselves.

It’s a horrible shame we won’t get to see where the story goes, but I’m okay with the cliffhanger ending so we can all hypothesize what would’ve happened next with OA. This ending is seriously one of the most insane, risk-taking twists I’ve ever seen, and even though the show was cancelled, I think it still stands as one of the best endings of this decade.
