2019: "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X feat. Billy Ray Cyrus 

2019 was Lil Nas X’s year. From being kicked off the country music Billboard chart for not being country enough to having the longest-standing Billboard Hot 100 #1 song, Lil Nas X has had quite the come up this year. All this success is thanks to the genre-bending single “Old Town Road” that perfectly blends country and hip-hop to make something everyone can sing along to. The first of many remixes features country music star Billy Ray Cyrus and the two became one of the best duos in music history. After the release of his first EP 7, Lil Nas X refuses to become a one-hit-wonder, and his second single “Panini” continues rising on the charts.
