I love it so much that I&rsquo;m dressing in drag as it&rsquo;s heroine Sidney Prescott (<strong>Neve Campbell</strong>) this year for Halloween. The movie is a &#39;90s staple, and it featured one of the most iconic opening scenes in film history because it killed off the biggest name in the film (<strong>Drew Barrymore</strong>) within the first 10 minutes. The series was a hit no one saw coming, and I&rsquo;m here to rank which movies were the best and which ones fell a bit flat.&nbsp;</div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> <hr class="system-pagebreak" /> </div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> <span style="font-size:26px;"><strong>4. <em>Scream 3</em></strong></span></div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> The film felt more like a parody than a needed continuation of the story, and each character felt like a caricature of themselves. The murders were silly, and the story behind the killer was a total clich&eacute;. I did enjoy that this film takes place in Hollywood on film sets. It was amusing and fun to watch Sidney fight off a killer on a set of her old home in Woodsboro where the first murders occurred. The writer of the original film was unavailable to write this one, which explains why it feels so out of place from the others.&nbsp;</div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> <hr class="system-pagebreak" /> </div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> <span style="font-size:26px;"><strong>3. <em>Scream 4</em></strong></span></div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> This film debuted ten years after the third installment, and it is so good. It brings back the surviving characters from its predecessors and propels them back into Woodsboro, where a new murderer is updating the pattern of the original. Sidney finds herself yet again as the target, and the twist in this film is one I never saw coming. I still recall the moment when <strong>Hayden Panettiere</strong>&#39;s character challenges the killer and lists off a slew of slasher films to save her boy toy. It was brilliant!</div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> <hr class="system-pagebreak" /> </div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> <span style="font-size:26px;"><strong>2. <em>Scream 2</em></strong></span></div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> Sequels are hardly ever as good as the original, but this one comes scarily close to it. This film takes the rules of horror established in the first and expands on them in a way that doesn&rsquo;t put the movie over the top. It also has some impressive guest appearances from actors like <strong>Sarah Michelle Geller</strong> and <strong>Jada Pinket Smith</strong>. This film does not disappoint, and it ups the kill count and the tension, making it a phenomenal sequel. The killer in this proves just how far one would go for love and how tough our heroine Sidney is.&nbsp;</div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> <hr class="system-pagebreak" /> </div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> <span style="font-size:26px;"><strong>1. <em>Scream</em></strong></span></div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> The original will always be the series very best. Up until the release of&nbsp;<em>Scream</em>,horror movies were exhausted. The characters they portrayed were stereotypical and predictable, but not the teens in this film. They were smarter, aware of the horror genre, and even played off on their awareness.
