"Abducted in Plain Sight"

Of all the documentaries on this list, this one has to be the strangest one. "Abducted in Plain Sight" is about a family who was tricked into letting a man ruin their lives. In the documentary, we meet the Brobergs, a family of five living in Idaho in 1974. Their lives are perfectly normal until they meet and befriend a new neighbor, Robert Berchtold. This man manages to seduce both parents, kidnap their 12-year-old daughter Jan, and convince her that an alien civilization would take over the earth and harm her family if she didn’t get pregnant with his child by the time she turned 16. This one was extremely shocking, but stranger things have happened I guess...?
