1. The VVitch (2015)
“There’s evil afoot” in director Robert Eggers's first horror film, Anya is Thomasin, a young girl marooned in the New England wilderness with her outcast family during the 1630s. Her father (Ralph Ineson) and mother (Kate Dickie) attempt to uphold their strict Puritan beliefs as evil threatens to tear their family apart. There’s witchcraft, possession, and an ominous forest – spooky! Not bad for Taylor-Joy’s first major film credit!

2. Split (2016)
Back in 2016, director and writer M. Night Shyamalan released Split, much to the gleeful horror of fans everywhere. When Casey Cooke (Taylor-joy) is kidnapped by a man (James McAvoy) with 23 personas, she must carefully navigate her way to safety or risk meeting The Beast. McAvoy is also a treat in this film as a deranged man looking for answers. Does he find what he’s looking for? Go give it a watch!

3. Marrowbone (2017)
Four siblings (George MacKay, Charlie Heaton, Mia Goth, Matthew Stagg) relocate to a lonely farm house after the mysterious death of their mother. “Nothing, no one, ever will separate us,” Jack (MacKay) declares in the trailer. Things become complicated when he meets Allie (Taylor-Joy) and realizes that secrets always reveal themselves. This Sergio G. Sanchez-directed film is one that will keep you on the edge of your seat, and if you think you know the ending – you’re wrong!

4. Last Night in Soho (2021)
Chances are, at one point in your life, you’ve probably uttered the words, “I wish I was alive in [insert time period].” That’s exactly what Eloise (Thomasin McKenzie), an aspiring fashion student studying in London, wishes for. Then, miraculously, she can teleport to the 1960s in her dreams where she becomes Sandie (Taylor-Joy) and meets Jack (Matt Smith). It’s not long, though, before her dreams become nightmares. This Edgar Wright film is a glamorous spiral into darkness.

5. The Menu (2022)
