Happy National Pokémon Day!
24 years ago, on February 27th, 1996, Pokémon Green and Pokémon Red were released on the GameBoy console, introducing us to 151 adorable little pokémon. Today, there are 8 generations of the game, 21 television series, 122 games, 890 pokémon, and even a mobile game (Pokémon Go!).
Growing up, I spent a lot of my time playing Pokémon games. When my brother and I weren’t playing on our GameBoy or Nintendo DS, we were trading cards or running around outside, pretending we had our own pokémon to battle with.
Even today, my friends and I are looking out for the newest game to add to our collections and trying to find time to catch 'em all!
