Actress/singer Zendaya Coleman has blasted magazine editors for altering her images from a recent photoshoot.
Coleman stars on the cover of Modeliste magazine, and editors published a number of images online to promote the publication, but Zendaya alleges she has been a victim of Photoshop alteration.
She complained staff at the magazine had reduced the size of her hips and upper body, so she published a "before and after" comparison on Instagram.com to show fans what she really looked like in the shots.
"Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated", Zendaya writes in the caption. "These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have. Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love. So I took it upon myself to release the real pic (right side) and I love it."
Modeliste editors took the offending images down from the Internet, and Zendaya later showed her appreciation, writing, "Thank you @modelistemagazine for pulling down the images and fixing this retouch issue."
